Monster of the Week
Well howdy there, newcomers. Sit on down round this fire and lemme spin y'all a yarn about a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains called Harper's Creek. Build up as an old minin' town, this land pulled out coal by the cart-full day after soot filled day. After the war, they didn't need the coal as much so the mines all closed up! Lotta folk left after that. Town got a lil' more quiet, a lil' more green out there in the hills and valleys. But that's okay, us Ol' timers like it a lil' slower. Now, this here town you see, needed SOME kinda money comin' in so folks could eat. And with more... Touristy huntin' seasons in the nicer cities, we thought hell, why don't we give it a shot! For the last 15 years, huntin' season has been somethin' fine and wonderful for us in Harper's Creek. But recently... Well, there's been rumors of happenin's up round the pines... Somethin' out there, well, plum just doesn't want them tourists round those parts! So, a few SPECIAL sorta Hunters came to town after the local preacher, Father Jerome was found torn practically to shreds! Well, the sheriff and her deputies and the whole town were stumped. So these Hunters, well, they looked into it. That's when everything, and I mean everything, went down hill. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Shadow of the Pines is a 3 player Monster of the Week Campaign!
